About Us

American Digital University (ADU) Services entered the online learning community around 2003, just when online learning was still the wild west, the word Google had not yet turned into a verband the phrase Massive Open Online Services was faraway from public consciousness. Our journey at ADU Services began with the development and the strengthening of relationships of those involved in the maritime industry and the learning institutions connected to the profession. In partnership with many stakeholders across schools worldwide and the industry we uncovered some real needs.

How can we create more accessible opportunities for students interested in entering the maritime industry?

How can we create instructional and learning experiences that are more in line with Media Education and 21st Century Skills?

Together with leaders in the maritime industry and schools we redefined maritime learning and training by transforming brick-and-mortar classes into effective web-based channels. Over the years we have continued to re-conceptualize maritime learning experiences with our partners by infusing classes with innovative pedagogical practices and proven technological advances. Today we offer a large and diverse portfolio of e-learning maritime courses.

Seeing the success we had in the maritime industry, we decided it was time expand our reach and our impact. In conversation with our partners and various organizations, we discovered a need to create supplemental online courses in math that span the college spectrum.
